We offer various options with regards to catering at Bastiaanskloof:

Private Chef

Vic is a self-trained chef and has been doing private chef work since 1993. He has completed numerous short courses and spent time in both local and overseas restaurants, gaining more knowledge and experience.

He has been cooking for guests at India House for two years and has already catered for nine very successful functions. These have ranged from tasting menus for six people to a party of 35.

Menus are tailored to guest’s preferences and budget and special dietary needs are always taken into account. Free range and organic produce, sourced mainly from smaller, local suppliers are used where possible.

Homemade Meals

We have the options of providing home cooked meals for guests to warm up on arrival or we can stock the fridge for you!

Breakfast

We offer a continental breakfast at an extra R150 per person.

Breakfast consists of fresh fruit, muesli and yoghurts, farm fresh bread, butter, jams and honey and pastries.

Spit Braais

We can arrange for spit braais at the farm. These are particularly popular for guests who book all our accommodation for parties or events as they require a 20 person minimum.

Picnics

Picnic Baskets can also be arranged. These consist of farm fresh bread, a selection of cold meats, patés, salads, local cheeses and preserves and dessert.

Gourmet Tasting Menu:


SA Gourmet Tasting Menu (minimum 6 people)

We have been developing a South African cuisine based tasting menu, with our intrepid chef Vic de Veldof, for our guests. We have scoured the local vineyards and found some very special wines to pair with each course. We think this is a very special event – especially if you have foreign guests. All served on specially sourced crockery and cutlery from around the world.
